Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Public Event

The Dean of Manchester hosted a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Public Event on Tuesday 20 October 2015. This was to mark the special week of events to raise awareness of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.

We were pleased to have presentations by DI Denise Pye (Greater Manchester Police), Rebekah Turner (Stop the Traffik), Hannah Flint (International Justice Mission UK) and performances of “It’s not Fair” by Rhema Theatre Group.

Local artist Liz Ackerley created a piece of artwork during the event to raise awareness of Modern Slavery.
