Alan Henning: Isis hostage described as 'a big man with a big heart'
Alan Henning, a local man from Salford was taken by gunmen after joining a group of Muslim friends on an aid convoy to Syria to deliver medical equipment.
It was reported on Friday 3 October that Alan had been killed by his captors
